It really was a privilege. I felt very fortunate to grow up in a country that allowed a lower middle clsss 5 year old boy, who watched Walter Cronkite on a B&W TV as images of A-4's launched off carrier decks, grow up and live that dream.

I received that watch as a gift in 2009 when I retired. I wore it everyday, including scuba to 100 feet with it. Finally this year I needed to send it in for repair. Required pretty much entire rebuild (new movement, crystal, bezel, and clasp). Expensive, but I love the thing.
