hi guys hope i dont sound like an amateur but what does railroad approved mean and what features does a watch need to have to qualify for this status... just been wondering:confused1:

Years ago train conductors need very accurate watches and "railroad approved" was an indication of that accuracy. Almost like COSC certification. I believe most modern watches use this designation as a gimick since most are quartz as opposed to mechanical.
