Have I just gotten used to modern sized watches?

Thanks guys! Any tips how to wind watches with miniature crowns? It's tough to get a grip on the little sucker.

Try stretching a wide rubber band around it.

Definitely a man's watch.
And I've encountered the same crown problem, only a different watch. I made a winding tool. I got some precision hexnut drivers and filled one with some epoxy. I waited until it had hardened and then drilled a hole just a hair smaller than the crown's diameter.
It seems to work as long as I remember not to use too much torque.
