Recently bought a watch not too sure what the model is or literally anything about it, the case reference is C6296, and the serial number is 16,801,782. It has a Calibre 470 movement in it I believe. Any information about the make and model and potentially value is much appreciated, also is there a way to find out the price of it when new.
Your photos aren't close-ups. and the front view is poorly illuminated.
I don't see the word 'Seamaster' on the dark dial which means you probably have a "Men's Omega Automatic (look at the dial right under the Omega logo!)
The case is likely gold-filled, instead of being 10 or 14 karat solid gold. (That info is probably stamped somewhere on the back of the case). According to your serial number, the watch movement was manufactured in 1958; the watch was assembled anytime between 1958 and 1961. According to previous eBay sales for your model, it could sell for $150 - $600. Much of that will depend on its general condition and how well it works. And that would be determined by a competent
watchmaker.
For its original sale price, you'd need to stumble across an original owner or find a brochure, advertisement, or sales catalog from that time period.
