Hamilton Carlisle
catalogued 1937-1938
14K yellow gold filled case
dials options: 18K applied gold numeral dial (most common) or two-tone white/butler black enamel number dial
20mm x 43mm case size
14mm strap width
production numbers unknown

A stunning design that is impressive on the wrist. A scarce model with the AGN dial in its own right, the two-tone black enamel number dial is nearly impossible to find.

Tom,

This is one enamel dial and case that I would LOVE to own! Just out of curiosity, based upon the san serif font used in the Hamilton logo, is this a long-ago refished dial? (Perhaps from the 60's?) Never the less, it is terrific!

Thanks, I had International Dial finish it recently. It is correct, as shown in Hamilton's blueprint.

As I focus more on the 20s, I wonder if Hamilton used a slightly different font on some of the 30s watches? (Or perhaps I am just seeing it wrong?) Either way, Rob did a GREAT job on this dial!! And I have now officially added this watch to my "must find" list. I've only seen a few of these (most described as the wrong model) in the last 5-6 years on eBay, and I don't remember any with this great dial. (But I have a feeling you might have saw ONE... LOL) Good for you!!

They used several font types. Regarding the Carlisle with this dial, I think I have another one somewhere in all my stuff.
