This TV-shaped Hamilton is called the "Lord Lancaster A" but it is so reminiscent of the early TV screens that it is Americana personified. This model debuted in 1962 and was a big hit! The movement is a top of the line 21 jewel housed in a yellow gold filled case that measures 35mm from lug to lug and 26mm in width.

I hate to admit I remember this watch.
This is the typical styling of many of the clock radios of the late 50's and early 60's as well.

That one is mis-identified. It's actually the "Gary," first offered in 1962.
Thank you for clarifying! I was always under the impression that mine was a Gary, and when I checked your excellent reference book I saw that the Lancaster had the diamond markers. However, I also know that dials were offered in slight variations, so I thought maybe I had been wrong about the Gary. It would not have been the first time! Your wealth of knowledge is a real asset here :thumbup:
