Vintage Hamilton model for Friday, Dec. 19th - Vancott

Hamilton Vancott
manufactured 1946-1947
never catalogued
discovered and identified as a true Hamilton only in the last few years
available in 10K gold bezel with stainless back or 14K solid gold bezel & back
17-jewel 987S hacking movement
28mm diameter case x 35mm over the lug tips
16mm strap width
production for 10K unknown, 984 for the 14K version

Very nice dial design. Only 28mm, though? That might keep me away.
