Hamilton Vancott
manufactured 1946-1947
never catalogued
discovered and identified as a true Hamilton only in the last few years
available in 10K gold bezel with stainless back or 14K solid gold bezel & back
17-jewel 987S hacking movement
28mm diameter case x 35mm over the lug tips
16mm strap width
production for 10K unknown, 984 for the 14K version

I really like this watch.

It's very similar to the Secometer, isn't it?:confused1:
The dial is identical to the Secometer, and the movement is the same (987S). When I first saw one for sale, I thought that it was a recased Secometer and passed.

I have found several for sale on ebay. If listed as a Vancott, they sell for a good price ($200+). If not listed as a Vancott, they can go for much less.
