Wow, I've been gone for a little bit! Mainly due to the flu, work, and birthdays (March is a crazy month for birthdays in my family).

To the meat of this thread. I get to go to Las Vegas for the first time ever next week! I plan on going to all the Rolex AD's that i can find. I was wondering if there are any that I must go to. I know of the one at the casino that John reported on but any else? If I win big I'll make sure to bring one home and of course post pics.

Go to The Shops At Caesar's, and go to Tourneau.

Your head will explode.

Honestly, there will be no reason to visit any other AD in Vegas. If Tourneau at Caesar's doesn't have it, I'm bettin' that Rolex doesn't make it...

Make sure that you go to the Rolex dealer at the Wynn. It's exclusively Rolex. They have a great selection (they had the Leopard Daytona). There is a little place in the MGM Grand which is near the entrance to the shuttle train. They usually have some nice pieces.

If you are going to be near the Venetian, check out Horologio and Ca'dOro. Horologio has nice high-end stuff like VC and UN, as well as Franck Muller. They are a little more personable than Tourneau.

What ever you do, make it to Torneau in the Caeser shops, you could set aside an entire afternoon for that.

Right ouside of Tourneau there is a little shop that carries some nice IWC stuff, and other things that you won't see at the big place.

Those are the places that I know, but there are tons of Rolex dealers all around town (one also in the Mandaly Bay, I believe). Some cool specialty shops carry stuff like Harry Winston and Jacob if you care to search them out. They're fun to look at as well.

Enjoy your stay.

General question regarding Las Vegas and ADs - I've heard you can buy SS Daytonas - does anyone know this to be true? I am not a big Daytona guy... but I am just wondering..

I actually spoke to a Vegas Tourneau sales rep about that and she said that the SS Daytona is for the guys that drop over 100k p/ year with them. She politely declined to show me one, but said they had two of them on site. She also denied the existence of a "list". I got the same story from my local AD as well.

This is irritating for the average consumer. When I was looking for my LV, the first two ADs I went to said the same. Unless you spend 100K a year here, you will have no chance for getting this watch. We save them for those clients who wish to spend that money with us. So I left, and at the third AD said they did have them; but, not on display. They would only show and/or sell them to anyone who inquired about them. Naturally, I did business with that AD, gave them scores of references, and told everyone about the 1st two ADs refusing to do business with me.

Hi Forum members, I'm new to this so here goes.

I'm just back from a trip to Vegas in Feb for my 40th. Before going my wife bought me a DD 118235 for my 40th present to add to my collection of a 22yr old Airking and a 19yr old DJ, so I was a bit worried about finding the prices in Vegas in case they would be better or exchange rate £/$ would have an effect.

I found it was the opposite, NO DISCOUNT was the reply when chatting to the AD in the Wynn, where as I got 15% off in Scotland, so have a look in Las Vegas but pay a visit to Bonnie Scotland when you want to purchase, thats my advise.

Great Forum, lots of great facts.

Hi Jock, and welcome.
After checking prices my next buy is going to be in the UK. Just for the record even though I'm english, scotland is my favourite UK :thumbup:country.

Thanks Kevin, I appreciate the compliment for my country.

I should have mentioned to Misfitx that there is an AD at the back of the main reception in the Bellagio, large AD at the Forum shops at Ceasars and a small shop further into the Forum near the FAO Swartz toy shop, Treasure Island has one and so does the Wynn, as you see I had other things on my mind than casinos.

In my experience:

1. Wynn has the best selection of Rolexes.
2. Although you might get lucky, most shops will not even show you the SS Daytona unless you are already a good customer of theirs.
3. Vegas AD's do not discount.
4. Selection of all brands is outstanding in Vegas, so in general it is a nice place to shop and see the models you are interested in.

Have fun.

Awesome tips everyone! I'm already on a list for a SS Daytona so I don't really need to see one but what I do want to see is a Yacht-Master II in person.

Rolex hunting in Vegas? I'm reminded of the scene where Nicholas Cage pawns his Daytona in the movie Leaving Las Vegas.

"$500 for a '93 Rolex Daytona?!? I'll do it!"

There have to be quite a few Rolex watches floating around a place like Vegas.

Welcome to WTF and the Rolex Forum. I can confirm what you say - I've been to Vegas several times over the last 10 years and I've always found it to be a place to look but not buy.
