I have always been very impressed with the Silent Drill Team. The hours and days and weeks that takes to perfect this is beyond comprehension. I remember how long we practiced in basic and main duty stations for D&C and we had commands. It is truly amazing.

I went to Arlington as a child after the Kennedy assasination and had a chance to watch the drill at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier and was amazed by them.

As a former Marine, I have to say that I get chills every time I see that routine by the Silent Drill Platoon at the Denver Nuggets game.

The drill is absolutely impeccable and when you factor in the noise and the myriad distractions in the arena, it's amazing that these guys can keep their rhythem and not flinch at some of the loud noises that punctuate the performance..

Thanks for posting.
