Hello all. I have a pre Tiger Prince Date, 18k/SS with a black face. It has only hash marks at the numbers, which I like. I'd like some advice on whether there are other color faces available for this watch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a bit confused as your subject line says you have the chrono, but your post describes what I believe, if memory serves, is the Tudor equivalent of the Rolex Datejust. Is your watch a chronograph? I suppose it doesn't matter as my advice for securing the dial for either is the same.

If you're in the US, you may have to scour eBay for Tudor dials or get in touch with vintage watch dealers who have some dials. Tudor pulled out of the US market some years ago, and is only available in Europe now.

If you're in Europe, then stop by your local Tudor authorized dealer and see what they can order. You might even try to contact Tudor directly - www.tudor.com

Welcome to WTF and our Rolex Forum - we'd love to see photos of your watch!

You may also try contacting a Rolex AD and asking them to contact Rolex USA to see what, if any dials are available from them. I know they'll supply the links & such, but I don't know about dials. If there are others available for the model they may swap it out for you. I don't know if they hold the same rigid parts replacement policy as their Rolex cousin, but it's worth a call. If nothing else, they may be able to tell you what options were available for your model. Note, you may have to push the AD to call Rolex as many don't know that Rolex carries & supplies parts for Tudor. I also recommend going into the store with the watch. Trying to get them to do anything over the phone without the numbers from the watch have never worked for me. I'd go during daytime business hours, that way they can call while you wait & you'll be there in case they need more numbers off the watch (I've learned that from experience with them.. ).

Good luck!! And do post pictures of your watch when you get a chance! :thumbup1:

Tudor Oyster princes had a wide variety of dials. However, I do not recommend adding a so-called "California" dial, which is a bogus after-market part that will lower the collectible value of your watch.
Here is one version of an original dial - the "linen" dial with solid 18K gold bezel:

jafount,

Thanks for the picture...

Below "Tudor" on the dial to the left of the date cyclops, does that say "Prince"? I can't make it out.. If so, that's the first Prince chronograph I've ever seen. If not, what's it say?

Yes it does. I just changed it to a bit clearer photo. I've had it for about 4 years now. I bought it from a dealer in England through an AD rolex dealer in florida. I just love the looks of the watch, even though it's a "poor mans Daytona". :)
