I inherited a cigar box full of watches. There is Timex quartz in the "collection". It needs a Timex "LA" cell. I was wondering do any of you know if the replacement batteries are still using that acronym or is there a modern replacement battery with a different part number?

The watch also has the number "64" stamped on the back cover. It's made in Thailand. Is 64 the model or year of manufacture?

Same thing as your other post. Need to know what movement is inside. A good clear photo of the dial & movement would be helpful. I believe that "64" means it was made in April 1990 per the Timex date chart.

Quartz watches didn't exist until 1969 (the Seiko Astron).

A quick google search shows LA cell = 395/399.
