Hey guys!

I just saw this on the bay and I felt physical pain in my stomach!

Somebody took a sterling silver trench watch that has an integrated snap on shrapnel guard and they CUT most of the guard off so only the outside ring is showing ! ! ! ! ! !

I guess they wanted it to look decorative or something.............

I usually never comment about things I see on the bay but this is the WORST thing that I have EVER seen that has been done to a watch ! ! ! ! ! !

These cases that still have the snap on guards are INCREDIBLY HARD to come by (especially in sterling silver), what in the world was the person thinking who cut it up ? ? ? ? ? ?

ARRRGGGG ! ! ! ! ! ! ! :cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing:

I need a drink after looking at that picture ! ! ! !

This is what the case SHOULD look like.

It's like a bad wreck on the highway, you can't stop looking at it!

Tiffany just walked in my shop and I had the picture up on my screen.

She asked "why would somebody do that to a very rare and expensive watch?"

I just shook my head and told her "I don't know why".

Even she knows that it's a travesty ! ! ! ! !

Maybe we should take up a collection and buy the watch and at the next big GTG hold a candlelight vigil at sunset.

A nice service and then a proper burial....................

It was a "NO SALE", not a single bid was placed.

WTF begs a question mark when you see something like that. I wish I could anonymously sent him a link to this thread :glare:
