"The Secret" is a book written on the laws of attraction, also known as Quantum Physics. As you dive into the theory it seems people who know and understand the secret are those who are able to obtain things of desire at a much greater rate than those who don't. Since owning a Rolex is considered to be for those who have arrived at or are on their way to success, and a number of you not only own one but a fleet of Rolex timepieces, I thought a large number of you might also have a greater understanding of "the secret".

There is no secret to "the secret". You either go to college for the better part of a decade and learn the things others won't bother or learn your chosen trade very well and start your own business. Then you spend the better part of your 20s working yourself silly and doing all the jobs that no one else wants. One day you realize in your 30s that you're making money and are respected in your field or community (presumably due to your past diligence, sacrifice, and dedication). Since you've learned all about providing high quality goods/services you are attracted to others of high quality. At this point you might decide to get a Rolex, or 2, or however many you can responsibly swing.

I'm sure there are others that got lucky in real estate or other types of speculation, but that is probably the exception and not the rule. Furthermore, lucky is not a secret.

The "secret" is a concept that I've been aware of for several years. Read the book "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. Most every successful individual that I know personally (by successful, I mean 1m+ annual income) swears by its principles. The times that I have been able to consistantly employ the concepts have been the most prosperous of my career. The trouble is that it takes alot of focus and discipline and working smart. If you don't keep at it and know exactly what you want it can be very elusive. Belief, optimism, gratitude, service, philanthropy, etc. are the fundamentals.

Most people that are grinding it out don't understand attraction. Study it and employ it, but don't throw pearls before swine. If you do, you invite ridicule from people that don't get it. That's why it's largely a "secret".

If you can get your head around it and implement it you will astound yourself. Good luck.:001_smile:

Wow...another "get rich quick and easy" self-help book. Just visualize good things and they will happen. If you have bad things happen in your life, it's because you visualized bad things.

I'm all for the power of positive thinking, and know how attitude can influence behavior...but this book is just plain silly. No wonder Oprah got behind it. :001_rolleyes:

Hard work and a positive attitude provides luck or increases your chance of good luck because you are bringing it apon yourself. I'm with John, you work hard and keep a positive attitude and you will do well.
