not sure if people saw the news story of the mutant rats running amok in tehran (i will spare you the link as it has a picture of a rat). apparently these rats are about the size of a large cat and weigh 10 pounds. one theory is that there is a lot of radiation leaking from the bomb...oops, electricity producing plants. i figure if there is that much radiation leaking one could easily re-charge their lume just by walking down the streets.

They are novices trying to learn the ways of the west. In this case, creating a mythical creature(ala Lochness ) for purposes of tourism and merchandising. Offcourse being infant at attracting publicity for commercialism a Giant Rat is not quite the best Mascot as proven in the downfall of Quiznos most famous Icon.
