I love my new 2220.80 but I really like those sword hands. I have seen posts here showing photos of swords where skeletons used to creep but I can't find any post about the actual replacement.

How do have the hands replaced and where?

Hi there. Here is a picture from a member on TZ (sorry, I cannot remember who, I think it is Charles B) who swapped the skeleton hands on his mid size Bond. The end result looks good in my opinion. I'm sure if you look on www.ofrei.com under the Omega parts section, you'll be able to find the hands and have an AD or local reputable watchmaker swap them over for you.

Looking at the price of them, I may even consider it myself once the warranty period is up.

well, there you go....

:):)

Mr Fergie about said it all.

you need a competant watchmaker, a new set of sword hands and you're set.

hey Mike,

if you don't know of or have a watchmaker in mind, how about the folks where you got the watch? Dianna said they had two "in house" watchmakers there...

I may rain on your parade just a little.... how about living with the current hands for 90 days or so (covers your warranty) and then see if you feel the same way. you may "fall" in love with those hands:001_wub:

whatever you decide it will look great, good luck:thumbup1:

BTW, be careful asking Ofrei for help on the phone, they have a huge inventory of parts but are a little grouchy about answering questions, but they are good.:thumbup1:

Hey Fergie

Thanks for the borrowed pic.

I like the sword hands on the Bond - Very suited imho and I for one would be very happy if the Bond SMP did undergo a little cosmetic change.

Be well pals

Me too. I didn't think I would, but they look really good. When I looked on Ofrei's site, I was expecting mega bucks, but they are quite reasonable. I would seriousley consider changing them, but only once my current warranty runs out. Should anything go wrong in the meantime, I don't want any reason for Omega to void it.
