Hi, I have just purchased a round raymond weil geneve 32mm dia watch in gold plate. It came without a strap. I was merrily looking through one of my vietnamese strap makers stock when it occured to me should the lug ends be straight or curved.
All my other watches are straight end rectangular so I have no comparison.
As a general rule would you guys buy straight or curved lug ends. I would welcome opinions please. thanks jack

Hi SFwatch guy, Good point and thanks for the pic. I have found an old strap knocking about and shall try and fit it. Looks very slightly curved. The watch has ver short lugs and is a thin dress watch only measuring 32mm across. I need to read up on posting pics. thanks jack

That one works with that watch. As for attaching photos, i used the 'insert image' button just to the right of that paperclip button.
Thanks for that. Given short lugs I think it would look ok with either. I have just looked at numerous round watches on fleebay and they all look ok with either. Thanks for your advice. jack
