I posted these in the Omega Member's Gallery without comments. They are here now for your questions and feedback as I am contemplating some changes; i.e., some may go to make way for my grail and/or a nice one for my wife.

(Left to Right)
2006 2255.80 Seamaster 300M
2007 2254.50 Seamaster 300M
2005 2538.20 Seamaster GMT:

These were all added in 2007 and are the only ones acquired new.

1996 3572.50 Speedmaster Professional (PW1):

My goal with this one was to have the beautiful dial of the 35th Anniversary with the upgraded 1863 movement and true display back through which to view it. Mine is now LE 1/4 since it has been replicated by three others.

1982 145.022 Speedmaster Professional (PW2):

This was intended to be a special commemorative Speedy but circumstances ended that project. With the spare parts in my drawer and the gift of the movement, PW2 was born and now gets the most wrist time of all my Speedies.

1972 198.0032 DeVille 300hz:

This one needs some adjustment to the date wheel but is otherwise a nice accurate timepiece.

1966 CD 166.010 Seamaster:

The latest of my vintage acquisitions is this cal. 565, 14k gold capped beauty now serviced and running strong.

1965 105.012 Speedmaster Professional:

The 1171 bracelet has now been replaced with a 1450 and this one is definitely a keeper. (All original parts have been retained.)

1963 168.005 Constellation:

Another 14k gold capped beauty with cal. 561 movement recently serviced and running strong.

1950 OT 2617 cal. 332 "bumper" automatic:

My special occasion watch in 18k RG. It is shown here on its 14k "rainbow" (YG,WG,RG) mesh bracelet. It would be difficult to let this one go as it has been worn at some special moments in my life.

1930 15 jewel manual wind (as yet unidentified):

This one is striking with its porcelain dial and blued hands. Needs some major surgery and restoration but would be worth it.

Well it looks like you're hanging onto the collection of Speedies Bro  That 18K small seconds dress number is a keeper too. Personally I'm not really a vintage guy, Speedies apart. An odd item may be interesting but to live with? Well I've not found one yet but that's just me.

Are you asking us which ones we think you ought to keep? Appears to me you're perhaps not married to the SMPs either..... I could be wrong though :001_rolleyes:

Getting something for the missus would be a very nice gesture.

Have a nice day now Bro

Fantastic collection Fr. John,

Easily one of the best I've seen. Especially as a couple of them are one-offs.

That 145.012 is particularly desirable for me.:drool::drool:

If you are to sell them Fr John, only sell the ones you bought. I believe the 2254 was a gift (I need to go back and check some old posts) and in my honest opinion it's wrong to sell a gift unless circumstances dictate otherwise, ie you have no food to put on the table etc. The other "alternative" alternative would be what I suggested over on WUS. Here is the cut n paste.

Here's an idea. Rather than selling them and having "sellers remorse" as Roger [that's Beamon by the way] put it, rent them out. That way they will temporarily out of your life, but they will be earning money for you. The renter pays shipping to them and back to you. Then if after a month (or some other agreed time) you still want the watches, the renter sends them back and you're happy. If you can live without them, offer to sell them to the renter (they must have first refusal) and if they don't want to buy, they ship the watch back to you and the rest is up to yourself.

Just a thought!

Either way, I would be sad to see someones collection go. Bsodmike had a fantastic collection and I loved seeing it. It helped make up for my lack of fine Omega's. When he emailed me to tell me he was selling them all, I was a bit upset. I know he's built a collection of Rolex now, but as nice as they are, I cannot share the same enthusiasm for them as I do for the very handsome Omega's he had. Some of which I believe had been yours Fr John if memory serves me right.

Good idea Fergie.

So, Fr. John? How much would a year's rental on your 145.012 be?I'll start saving immediately with a view to buying it afterwards.

Hey Tricks

I thought it was a 105.012 ( Neil ) as opposed to a possible Buzz which was the 145.012.

Heh, I know.

You have 4 as in Gemini 4 on your mind :lol::lol:

And quite right too :thumbup1:

Hey Zin,

I'm on a lunch break at the minute in between trying to learn a new job.

Will you let me off this, almost blasphemous, crime this once?
