I just picked up my new Speedway II tonight from the postal outlet, I think I got a decent deal on this one for 155.00
It is the Swiss Version 3415
I wasn't as blown away with this watch like I was the 4469, but overall, I am happy with this purchase, and for what I paid, I cant complain at all, it will make a nice everyday watch that I wont be as worried about!
If I wasn't using the 4469 as a benchmark, I would be saying what a great watch this is as well! haha and it is indeed a great watch, but I guess its like many things, once you get something really good its hard to top it...
So... with that said... there is a nice Sub Aqua III out there with my name on it somewhere down the road! I am sure when I open the box on it, I will be blown away! haha or at least lets hope so!
Another question, I know on a Chronograph the second hand is supposed to be used as a stop watch, just wondering in the rules of watch land if its cool to have the second hand running at all times... or should it always be in the 12 o'clock position???? I synched it with the second hand in the sub dial... so now its ticking off seconds, minutes and hours using the chronograph function.
The Speedway II, I would score an 8 out of 10! The bracelet and clasp do not feel as nice as the 4469 and the watch makes some noise on the wrist with metal on metal clanging... will have to see if I can stop that!
