Very nice collection as usual Arthur Would you know how many early versions of the 6542 steel bezel (not insert) there are? I have been trying to match up a couple I have with the proper date of mfg. thanks, M

All the early 6542's had the Bakelite inserts...The all metal inserts were replacements. As the 6542's were serviced over the years the Bakelite inserts were discarded because of the radiation scare from that era and replaced with the all metal inserts.
