That didn't take long! Last night, I politely asked the seller where he/she got the photo and it vanished in a puff of smoke. My photos have never been up to the quality of some here at the Watch Talk Forums but to have someone pick one out over all others on the Internet ......... but then, I guess having one lifted for commercial use isn't cool.

Magnetchief "I do not think eBay would be concerned about the source of a phot.
But what cause me concern is someone using a 'lifted' photo to sell something they do not posses. As always, be aware of the scams out there.

This is why I thought Ebay might be concerned, especially with a low count seller like this one. They have a reputation, though tainted. to protect.
There is another watch forum where a sub group seems to take great delight in exposing scams on Ebay and they get a lot of them thrown out and they report "borrowed" pictures.

It all depends on why the pic was copied.
In this instance, you most certainly did the right thing!! The difference is that I would not have been polite about it.

I guess the reason I didn't get too excited about the use of my photo was that the seller did not represent it as the actual image of the item for sale. He/She only used it to illustrate the type of watch that the anniversary band would have fit. Funny thing is the seller doesn't know that Bulova made the 100th Anniversary Accutrons in both ladies and gents sizes and hasn't bothered to measure the width of the strap. Someone should tell the seller but I won't.

Expensive indeed! He does list it as a Spaceview strap, so that wouldn't work with your Accuquartz and he was quick to do the right thing so...

BTW, was that picture of yours posted in a thread about the Accuquartz 100th Lady? I have an SS Men's version and I've seen a picture of the SS Ladies' version here Bulova 230 Series
