I'm new to this forum and have a few questions. Noticed on E-Bay they have Seiko Daytonas Chronographs that look exactly like the Seiko Submariner Chrongraph. These watches are the SNA225 series and have the 7T92 movement quartz movement. Anyone with experience with this model? To me it looks like the 7T92 movement is in many Seiko Chronos. Thanks in advance.Bill

I ordered one, Daytona AKA Chrono Submariner, can't wait. Meanwhile my Seiko SKX033K Diver is working good again.:) It's a self winder and sat around and I thought something was wrong with it. Ha That's the problem with having to many watches.:001_tongue::::001_rolleyes::thumbup:

Don't have any experience with this model or movement, but I wouldn't be worried about any Seiko... If you like it, buy it... You won't be disappointed :thumbup1:

And welcome to the forum by the way...
I would have to agree. I really like the latest Seiko designs coming out, but I am a little surprised they are using the name Daytona. I wonder if any other watch companies are using the name Daytona in their watch lines besides Rolex? :confused1:

Don't think Rolex owns the rights of the name belongs to the city (and race circuit by default) but, it could be  most likely a fee or some kind of deal is in place for the use of the name...not sure if Seiko is actually the one naming the model or not:confused1:

Doing more research.:eek:hmy::wink: I've seen the Seiko SNA225P advertised as; Daytona, Submariner, President. I think it originally was called the Submariner by Seiko.
No doubt the sellers:sneaky2: are taking advantage of the upcoming race at Daytona, but the watch that is more closely related to racing has a tacky on the outside bezel, like the previous picture, which I think would more properlly could be called the Daytona. I just want the Submariner version really, as I want the bezel on the outside to have the minute click slashes, it makes it more useful to me. I don't know how to post pictures, :lol:but the one I ordered doesn't look like the foregoing. It has a black face and the outside bezel is black rimmed and with minute slashes.:):001_smile:. Bill

If you have a look at Seiko's Official Catalog, many of these watches have only their line and tag as names.

The Grand Seiko series, the Spring Drive series, the Alpinist series, the Brightz series, the Spirit series, the Prospex series, the Seiko5 series....etc..

The Seiko5 Sports SNZ391j is named Seiko Seamaster by the sellers. Another example Seiko Prospex Diver SBDC003 is called Seiko Sumo. And the Seiko Prospex Diver SBDA001 is called the Seiko Samurai.
