I wonder how many of us have repurchased a watch we had sold. You've heard of buyer's remorse and conversely there's seller's remorse too I'm sure.

Well I haven't exactly gone down the same route but came close in replacing the Great White

with the GMT Noir

and all this within the space of five months. They're both history as some of you may know though I do have some regret at giving up the black model. I just wasn't using it or rather couldn't go through my waking hours not wearing the Speedy Pro.

How about you pals? Ever been there, done that and then do it all over again?

Let's talk amigos

and

y'all have a nice day now :thumbup1:

I do miss a lot of the watches that I have sold or traded in the past.

However, I don't regret letting any of them go enough to try and seak out another one the same.

Even my old Moon Watch. I may buy a vintage version one day though. Plus the G4 has helped stopped the itching to some degree.

There are too many fine watches out there and not enough time (pun intended).

I always try for something a little different from anything else I have got, or have had, when I add a timepiece to my collection.

"GoldenEye" watch

The first watch I bought new was an Omega 2541.80 Seamaster, the quartz model like the one worn by Pierce Brosnan as James Bond in GoldenEye. Parted w/ that under the tyrany of the "should," ie, that I should own the mechanical if I really wanted to call myself serious.

That wasn't on this Forum, of course. But it sure taught me a lesson about how wrong "the collective" (read, "Borg") can be. Advice, yes; snobbery, no.

Altho it doesn't get very much wrist time, the 2541.80 that is subsequent "re-bought" remains one of the favorites in my collection. And now that I'm thinking about it thanks to this Post, maybe I'll take it out whitewater rafting this summer.

I'm with Dell on this one - I sold my Bond quartz two years ago partly to part-fund my GMT purchase, but I kept feeling inferiority towards autos.

I have now satiated my 'auto' desire - I have 5 of various makes, and its like spinning plates trying to keep some of them going - and I feel beholden to the GMT to not let it stop (due to the hassle of resetting the date) - so one really high end quartz in the now-classic blue SMP style would be a welcome re-addition: I'm currently on the lookout for one, but the market seems flooded with mid-size models at present (surprise, surprise..)
