NOT. Okay, so it hasn't been discontinued. We need some spice in this forum and here goes:

If Omega discontinued the Seamaster and Planet Ocean, what diver watch would you replace it with and why doesn't it meet your standards now?

This is gonna be good. Let's have fun with this guys! No bad attitudes or fighting! Smiles and opinions only!:thumbup::thumbup:

The SMP is my favorite diver that I own,but if it was discontinued,I'd have to sell some watches and purchase a pre-owned Sea Dweller. The SD doesn't meet my standards now because of the price mostly, but the value, style, fit and finish of the SMP is perfect for my taste and wallet.

Hey Mr MacD

If Omega discontinued either or both models, they'd replace them with something else.

:D:D:D

Interesting question would be what Omega does with the PO as it is when they look to bringing the cal8500/8501 and derivatives into their entire range. An uplift or a redesign? I wonder :001_rolleyes:

Hope you're well pal

thats easy,

if Omega suddenly evaporated from the earth,

I'd stay with my trusty Seiko's....

oh, and I still have a couple of R's.. ( don't tell Zin)

but the R's would go bye bye before the Seiko.:thumbup1:

If there was no more Omega, I would look to Sinn to fill my needs.

They are so often overlooked while they quietly make some fantastic pieces, at VERY reasonable prices, particularly when you consider the recent increase Omega enjoyed with the new models...

@Zin,

Oh, you're slick buddy! Squirmed out of that one.

I'd probably stick with my Tissot Seastar 1000 or Seiko.

I own a Submariner 50th Anniversary but it's a bit special for me so I would never dive in it.

I think the Oris Divers offer superb value for money and I really like the new Longines Legends Diver. If I had a little more money I would go for an Eterna Kon Tiki or a Paneria or an Ananimo and if I had even more money I would go for the Breguet Marine or Patek Philippe Nautilus or Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore or a Vacheron Contantin Overseas or a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms:001_rolleyes:

Ditto. For me, whenever I am in the water, it is digital for me all the way. Imagine the freak accident if the watch succumbed to pressure, or fell off the wrist? :eek:hmy: :scared::scared: :eek:hmy:

If there were no SPMs or POs I'd go with a Rolex SubDate or SD (I have the Sub No Date). Other brands I would seriously consider include Sinn, Ball, IWC, and maybe Doxa and Oris (diving). Others I like are Stowa, Bell & Ross, and GP.
There's really no shortage of divers out there.

If Omega was no longer available, I would probably pick the Submariner and the Superocean next. We are fortunate that as a consumer there are so many nice brands to choose from. Still, Omega sales are increasing worldwide, especially in developing countries.
