Same or different

Hi, Pics of two Elgins that look the same except the hands and lug ends.
Factory refurb dial with different numerals but looks same shape.
I cant get the numbers of the Elgin movements nor the dimensions at present. Those of you who are familiar with Elgins 1920`s / 30`s might know whether both watches are the same shape and if the dial will fit the watch with the solid black hands. The dial is 28mm 6 to 12, and 24mm 6 to 9.
Many thanks.

It's hard to judge actual size but yes they do look very close and may well be interchangeable.

It would help if you could see the dial feet on the back side of the dial. But the shape of the dials look the same.

Hi, Thanks for that. The only back of dial that I have is the new replacement one. I cant get access to the two watches sgown. I think they all look the same except the hands. which set of hands would you say is the latest design. thanks jack
Probably the solid hands but they were both used around the same time. The others were only used thru the early 1930's

Thanks for that. I have looked at Elgin watches on Etsy and Ebay US and can only find that one 8 sided watch so chances ae the new dial will fir the watch with the solid hands. Thanks for your help. jack
Yes, the position of the feet on the back of the dial will confirm if they are easily interchangeable. If they dont quite match up you may have to do a little buggering with it.
Hi, Assuming the new dial fits the case but the feet dont match up with the holes in the movement, is there a trick of the trade to fit the dial in place, short of super glue. I am thinking of perhaps soldering. Pic of new dial showing feet at 11, 2.30 and 7.30. many thanks

I have clipped off the feet that wont fit and used tiny two sided tape spots to help hold the dial in place.
Many thanks for that Mike, I assume it worked well.
