G'day all, just got back from leave and want to share a great experience with you that my wife Tracey and I had as guests of Rolex at the Australian Tennis Open.

I bought a LV Sub last year and was surprised when I got a phone call from the dealer in December inviting Trace and I to dinner at the tennis followed by the night session on day 1.

The day finally came around and we drove to the AD, got on the mini bus with about 10 other lucky Rolex customers and set off for Rod Laver Arena.

Straight to the Rolex Marquee for drinks, a lovely dinner and some great conversation. There were reps on each table from Rolex Aust and I enjoyed talking Rolex history etc etc. Absolute surperb hosts.

We were all given a bag of goodies to take home. Each bag had a calender, 2 catalogs, shirt, cap and tennis balls! I was rapt as I like to collect Rolex nic-nacs. See pics below.

We then walked over to the arena and sat in court-side seats - very front row- and watched 2 good tennis matches.

We had a great night and the company was 1st class.
It was a real treat for Trace and I and much appreciated.

One more reason to buy a Rolex!

Seems like you had a terrific time and I absolutely love those tennis balls!!
I play tennis sometime but I would never use them on a clay court...

Wow Pete,

How lucky was that. It must have been like winning a competition that you never knew you had entered. Did you simply buy the right watch to become eligible or was your name pulled from a hat of all purchasers, etc?

What a superb gesture. And what fantastic "nic-nacs" as you called them. Although they are all far more than that. I mean really :drool:

I've been to experiences like this before but organised by Audi. Never heard of a watch manufacturer doing the same.:001_rolleyes:

I'm surprised to see that this sort of thing doesn't happen in the States too.
I just bought the LV, was very polite to the staff etc. It was the 1st time I have used this dealer due to very poor service at the other AD here in town.
Even without the freebies I would have still used them again in the future. They were excellent to deal with - made me, the customer, feel very important.
