Review of Two Straps From Crown & Buckle

Recently I've reviewed some premium quality straps which I had custom made for my Lum-Tec M27. A custom made strap is a premium solution which carries a premium price. But this option isn't necessarily the best option for every watch enthusiast, or every watch in their collection. Fortunately, WATCH TALK FORUMS sponsor Crown & Buckle offers a excellent selection of high-quality watch straps which are an excellent value. I recently placed an order with Crown & Buckle for two different straps to go on a watch I have on pre-order - the Lum-Tec V1. Both straps were ordered in 22mm.
The first strap I ordered from Crown & Buckle is the Lotus:
The Lotus is just $32.00 from Crown & Buckle, and I confess to being quite shocked at just how nice this leather strap is for the price.
The strap is reasonably thick (though not padded), and well stitched. The under side of the strap is signed by Crown & Buckle, and also features a removable polished tang and buckle to secure it on the wrist. On the wrist, the strap was certainly comfortable, but do expect some break in time for the leather at this price point.
Since it will be another couple of weeks before the Lum-Tec V1 ships, I borrowed a friend's Sinn to show what the strap looks like on a watch:
The second strap I ordered was this nifty black and red NATO strap:
This is my first NATO strap, and I can definitely see the appeal. Made from ballistic nylon, they're easy to clean and water resistant. They're also super-easy to install - just put your spring bars between the lugs of your watch, and loop the NATO strap through on both sides. And at a price of just $14.00, you can afford to indulge yourself by purchasing them in many different colors and styles, which Crown & Buckle has their inventory.
Here's a shot of the red and black NATO on the Sinn - a GREAT combination for this watch in my personal opinion:
If you're a fan of value priced timepieces, you don't want to have to spend a price which exceeds the cost of your watch on a good quality strap. So do check out Crown & Buckle which offers a wide selection of excellent straps at extremely affordable prices, and great service as well. Tell Thomas at C&B that John at WATCH TALK FORUMS sent you.
