Hi all,

I have got this watch recently and, since it it has some differences from usual Senators of 90's, I would like to ask to the experts additional infos and some explanations.
As you can see from the pictures, the watch has been manufactured on August 12th 1995 with nr. 0229. Based on this date, the movement should be the 10-30 and runs pretty fine (-3 sec./day).
The strange things are the "U&W" written close to the watch number and the "DS" on the crown.
Former owner told me all the parts are original excepts from the strap and tang buckle.
Thanks in advance for your time and support.

I'm by no means an expert in Glashutte watches but i have seen a number of the Senator models with the 'DS' on the crown and others with different letters such as 'RP' written next to the watch number. Nice watch btw...

Thanks Mikey for your 2 cents and for the compliment, yes it is really a nice watch and well made. The quality is high and the colour of the dial is great, the picture cannot show the real colour and sunburst.
Now I'm curious about the DS of the crown and U & W of the back case. Does DS stand for Double Security as for example in some Certina watches? And the U & W may be the initials of the watchmaker who assembled the watch?
