The following is from an email sent out by Josh & Troy on May 9th to all those who have pre-ordered a watch:

"Greetings from RedSea Watches!

We wanted to reach out again and inform our pre-orders of the latest updates with production. We are still on track for July delivery and are nearing the finish line!

Also, we attached some fun pictures of how the cases look when they come out of the molds, don't worry as these are called "roughs" for a reason :) These cases are actually on their way to final machining and then onto the finishing stages where the stainless steel will get a brushed finish and the PVD will have a bead blasted finish before the PVD is applied. The pictures highlight how well the rubber strap and solid endlinks fit perfectly up against the case.

We also just received some great news regarding the movements as well as the new dials. Please see below for more information.

Movements & Dials
We are very excited to confirm that both the Holystone and Six Pounder will be made with the original black date wheel found on the Miyota 9015! We just received the news today and couldn't be happier.

Our newly made dials fit the cases and line up with the 12 marker perfectly, again we are extremely pleased with the results and wanted to thank all of you for your patience and support during this first launch.

We will continue to provide everyone with updates as we get them. More to come!

Thanks,

Troy & Josh"

Big congrats Brian on getting back on track - very happy that the date wheel is back to black too:thumbup1:
a white date wheel would have considerably affected the aesthetics of both watches
The congrats goes to Josh & Troy! The top post is from an email they sent out on May 9th to all those who pre-ordered a watch!

Odd how things work out!

Josh & Troy...

Thanks for both this wonderful news about the dial and, from the sounds of it, everything getting back on course.

I, for one, am extremely happy about the "back in black" factor. Of course, I probably whined about it the most. I'll put a stop to that behavior!

Keep us posted as things move along. Even the most minute details of progress will satiate our/my appetite for my soon-to-be RedSea Diver!

Very glad to see that they are making the most of the delay to be able to bring back the black date dial. As someone with a PVD Holystone on pre-order, I think having less white on the dial is a very good thing.

Hi Everyone,
Both Josh and I are very glad to read all the positive excitement about getting the black wheels locked up.

In the spirit of all this excitement I think it's only appropriate to share a pic of what arrived the other day :thumbup1:

That's a thing of beauty...and it's just the date dial! Can I start my salivating now?

Pre-Order PVD Six-Pounder
(and perhaps I'll be the winner of the Stainless Holystone!)
