As some of you may know through previous posts or the WTF Sales Forum I am going through a "collection reorganization" in which I am adding even more Hammies to. So I am having watches going out the back door and coming in the front...Acquisition #1 was announced (Ventura Gold LE).

Introducing #2... Hamilton Khaki Mechanical 40mm

It came on a SS bracelet but I took advice from fellow Khaki owners and put it on a Maratek strap....It BELONGS on a military strap...Boy did this thing come alive!

The khaki mechanical line,IMHO, looks perfect on military inspired straps.

Mine's on a gray Nato.

I'm glad to see you went with my suggestion. It transforms that watch into a real military threat! I returned mine since it was defective and I'm waiting for the exchange to arrive on Tuesday.

One thing, I do believe you've got the strap upside down. I'm not sure if it was intentional.

Yes it is on purpose.....I prefer the buckle to be on the inside....Also I made another "mod"...I took out the post in the buckle so that the strap can be cinched down and not buckled down....

I want to thank you for your advice I am extremely happy with the outcome!

The strap REALLY sets it off...I saw yours and Foggys and had to go this route.

It's amazing how the change of a strap can alter a watch that drastically. The metal bracelet it comes with is just standard. The bead blasting makes it look a lot like titanium which I don't really care for. The watch is "too gray" with the metal bracelet. But once you put that ZULU OD Green strap on it, it becomes the "Real McCoy!"
