Cool reading..............

I’m surprised the Russian President do not help promote his own country watch industry even if privately he prefers something else :confused1:…granted may be not at the level of a Patek but, some Russian brands produce very nice, high end (and very expensive) pieces .....

I have found that the article regarding the watches of the heads of state originates with Pravda, which has the reputation of World Weekly News and perhaps even worse.

The information might be truthful, but the odds are really against it judging by the bizarre articles Pravda has a history of publishing.

Judge for yourself.

Well, it does seem that the president does indeed wear a Timex or at least he has at one time or another.

I suspect the president might own more than one watch, regardless of which one he might wear when greeting crowds.

I remember that Cliinton wore a Timex Ironman during his 1992 campaign, which of course was an image builder, insofar as he did portray himself as a populist and he did make quite a show of jogging frequently.

I like Timex myself, so I wouldn't fault either man for his choice.
