As John said, only if it's a collectible version, or I planed to sell it. If it's for me, as long as it's authentic that's good enough for me. Also, as many people do want the box & papers you can sometimes get a great deal on one without.
- Did you have the watch sent to Rolex for servicing thereafter?
never serviced a watch out of warranty - so no.
- How/Did you get an appraisal for insurance purposes?
Most Rolex AD's can get an appraisal done for you. Or refer you to someone.
- Did you have the watch authenticated later on?
No point to doing this later on. if you're worried about it, get it authenticated immediately. Again, most AD's with a watchmaker can do this. If you don't know the AD, they may not or will charge you. But if you have one you use, they should do this for you.
So, gotta ask. Why the questions? You looking at something? If so, come on - come clean.. What is it?!?!?!? tell, tell, tell.... :biggrin:
