Pre-Owned Purchases

I realize some of us here on the BB have purchased pre-owned watches in the past. I have a few questions regarding this:

- Was it a concern if there was no documentation?

- Did you have the watch sent to Rolex for servicing thereafter?

- How/Did you get an appraisal for insurance purposes?

- Did you have the watch authenticated later on?

Thanks everyone.

I bought mine from a local watchmaker I have used in the past,

It had no papers, but I trust the seller, so I am not worried

I did not get it authenticated, he specializes in Rolex so his word was good enough

At the time it did not need a service, and I will likely have it serviced where I bought it.

My insurance company just asked me to estimate the value and I insured it for that much
