Hey RedHawk, ummm, aerospace? You guys gotta have some CNC equipment - right?
Oh sure, but nothing as impressive as that Panerai facility. We have Mori Seikis, Okumas, Toyoda, Cincinnati Milacron, LK, you name it. Our chemical processing lines are fully automated, as are our bonding presses and test equipment (Tinius Olsen, MTS, etc). One half performs high-complexity machining (very intricate components) and the other half bonds elastomer to those components. In between is chemical processing, NDT, and Mil-spec paints and coatings.

Our shop is visible from I-75, just south of the Needmore exit...I'm sure you've seen it. Traveling northbound, glance to your right about 1/4 mile south of Needmore and you'll find us.

An excellent tour of an amazing facility. I had no idea that Panerai's manufacturing was so high-tech. Their equipment and technology far surpasses anything we have in our aerospace manufacturing plant. Outstanding.
Ahh...another Daytonian watch enthusiast! You must work at Smith's Areospace?

My first post, long time reader of great conversations. Thank you for giving my watches life. What a wonderful tour. Watching the birth of a magnificent work of art is breath taking. I am a longtime lover of quality work.
Thanks for the kind words, and welcome to WTF - thanks to for coming out of "lurk mode." :thumbup1:
