I am seriously thinking about changing the black MOP face of my triple black speedway to the red fiber so that I may be able to see the time better. What is your opinion of the possible change below?

Hey Elliot,
As you know I have ordered the dial for the 4354, all you have to do is get the model number of the watch that has the red dial and order it. I am taking mine to a Rolex certified technician. I'm not going to trust my Speedy to just anyone. By the way if you get a guy with an accent on the phone when you go to order the dial he will try to tell you it has to be sent to Switzerland to have the work done. Ask to speak to the girl that does special orders. She was great to deal with.

And I agree, it would look very sharp with a red dial. The new dial is like $35.00 so it won't break the bank. The guy doing the work on my watch almost fell over when I told him the price. He said most of the dials he orders up are $150.00 and up. Keep in mind the type of watches he works on.

Readability is definetly a problem with the black MOP. I'd change mine too if I had a local watchmaker that could do it OR if I could send it back to Invicta for the change.

We can all blame Don (Falcon) for this.

I'm sorry for starting this craze but I have to be able to tell the time...lol I actually think it's bad that they put black on black to begin with, there should always be contrast between the dial and the hands. :sneaky2:

I agree with you 100 percent. That's why most of their skeletons don't do it for me, too hard to delineate the hands from the engine.

I agree. The all black is pretty stealthy to look at, it's just hard to tell the time at a glance. Too stealthy !!!

I'm looking for someone qualified to do the work if I can get the white MOP dial from Invicta.

Dave let me know if you find a good watchmaker in your part of the state. Seems every store sends there out for repair here in Indianapolis.

I'm kind of surprsed that you would not have a watchmaker in your area, I live in a city of about 1 million people and there are many here in Edmonton. The one I am having work on my dial is a Rolex certified tech which makes me feel better. At West Edmonton Mall we have 2 watchmakers, both were trained in Europe.

Hey Nick,
Initially when I was going to have the hands painted it was going to cost $60.00. After deciding to replace the dialI asked him what the cost was going to be and he said it wouldn't cost much at all. He said it's a very easy job replacing the dial so I am guessing it will be around the same price.

I love the red dial, go for it! If you all don't mind asking, how much are you getting charged to change the dial? It's cool to see the dial only being $35 though!
