Hi everyone,

I'm new to the vintage watch scene and I was wondering if you could help me determine whether this seamaster is legit before I go ahead and purchase it. Buying it off Ebay so I'd love some feedback. I think the Crown is not original but a part from that I think the rest of it is orginal.

Let me know what you guys think, I'd love some feedback and any help I can get.

PS. The Swiss Made writing seems weird as the M seems to be squashed or covered, is that anything to worry about?

1... determine whether this seamaster is legit? Thats very hard to do thru photos instead of a tactile examination!
2... You don't mention if the seller's reliable (positive feedback percentage).
3... Don't obsess over the crown unless you want to turn around and seel the watch to some hardcore Omega Investor/Collector. As long as the crown works, don't worry about it.
4...I have no idea what you mean by the SWISS MADE being "covered". The surface of the dial looks different on the edge between the 5 and 6. Perhaps the previous owner was a little careless handling the movement outside the case, but again, there's no reason why the watch's operation should be affected, That's just aesthetics so don't worry about it.

All in all, I see nothing that would set off a warning bell.
