Hi All,
I'm not a collector, but I do like a nice watch.
I purchased a Nomos Orion 38 Datum with their new swing movement about a year ago, and from the beginning, it would lose about 8-9 seconds a day. I reset it about 3 times a month.
My question for you knowledgeable folks is whether it is worth sending it to a qualified Nomos service center (in USA) for better timekeeping regulation, or might I be creating more trouble for the watch?
Some might ask why I don't get a quartz watch for accuracy. My answer is I love my Orion, and I have not found a quartz watch that looks nearly as attractive to me. I'm a pretty old guy and have no interest in the sport/dive/aviator styles with many complications that simply get in the way of my seeing the time at a quick glance.
Thanks for your wisdom,
Julian
