Hi and welcome, Nick,

Either this watch did not start out as a spaceview or the hands were swapped with the gold coloured ones. Most likely it was a "normal" 214 that has had the dial removed, the original hands put back on, a spacer and a replacement crystal added. If it were an "original" spaceview, it would have had white "alpha" or "dauphine" hands. I'm not sure about your specific case but it may have been one of the ones used for factory spaceviews.

A very large number of "spaceviews" with the dotted or marked crystals were modified after the fact. The only spaceviews I see that I can say without a doubt are factory are the several chapter ring versions that were only issued as spaceviews.

That being said I do like a well done conversion and would (and have) wear one.

Cheers

I don't know of a way to "find out for certain" if a crystal is aftermarket but one of the things I look at is the thickness or width of the legs of the tuning fork. Have you checked for the case number of the watch ?

Ah. I see.
Personally I do not like those gold hands. It would not be too much trouble to obtain a 'correct' set and have a watch repairer replace them.
I think it would look better.
Here is mine. Watch Analog watch Azure Natural material Finger

Saying that, make sure you find a watch repairer that is familiar with accutrons. There are a few precautions to be taken when replacing the second sweep. It would be very easy to damage the watch.
Does Clark not make replacement hands? I understand they are pretty good quality.

The Clark hands I have in my original Spaceview cost $17 and look good. I kept the original hands but they were showing their age and the Clarks look a lot better. It takes a better eye than mine to tell Clark hands from the originals. I think you gave the OP some good advise, those gold hands look nasty.

This was something I meant to bring up in my earlier post. I have heard of some Swiss versions having the gold/silver hands with lume. Can anyone here confirm that?
Nevermind, I have answered my own question. I have dug through and found that there were swiss chapter ring versions with SS or gold lumed hands:
