I just received a 2-watch automatic winder for the holidays. I can set it for clockwise, counter-clockwise or alternating rotation. What is the recommended rotation for the Miyota 8215? Should I run it 24 hours a day or is 12-16 enough? Any tips would be appreciated.

My next problem is getting a watch for the second slot. I just have the one automatic for now.

Do a google on Orbita Watch Database---- once there look up your watch
and you will find your direction----I leave my watches on the winder 24/7 only time there off
is on the wrist

two21, don't worry about the empty slot. I give it 6 months tops, and you'll be trying to swap about four or more different watches into those two slots :D

Thanks for the database tip. I couldn't find any Miyota based Invictas on the list, so I looked up Miyota and found the info for the 82xx series.

Miyota runs counter-clock wise as do Valjoux 7750/7751. ETA 2824s, 36s, 92s etc. wind in either direction.
Hope this helps.
