Purchased this a couple days ago - very excited! Should be here by Monday.. I will post pic of works when it arrives.. Any input will be appreciated regarding model name and possible year of manufacture. Also - is it possible to have it "cleaned up a bit" regarding the hands?

Looks very nice! Movement serial number will be helpful in determining a year of manufacture.

Your wrist candy is total style
“There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture…”

Amazing dial! Very “Outer Limits.”

I’m guessing the movement is a grade/caliber 770. Good news is (if indeed it has a 770) is that many consider it Hamilton’s finest movement ever. The not-as-good news is that it will not have a serial number for determining the date of manufacture.

You would need to comb the Hamilton dealer catalogs for an idea of when it was on the market. I’m guessing start with around 1960? Unfortunately, the online resource for dealer catalogs is experiencing technical difficulty, but maybe there is another resource? Or if you’re reading this thread weeks/months/years from now, go have a look at vintagewatchforums.com and see if it is running yet, or perhaps redirecting.

Unfortunately the OP made his post and never came back. :(

That's too bad about VWF because its a great resource for Hamilton watch information. They seem to crash & burn quite often though....

I'm glad to hear that! I don't mean I'm glad for their misfortune(s), I mean I'm glad my laptop wasn't the reason the site wouldn't download properly for me after I tried to log on. ;)

I'm starting to wonder if they're down for the count. There is still no activity there. :( It would be nice to get them and their materials here on this forum ....
