Fairly new to watches beyond whatever I got as gifts in highschool/college. Starting to look into some classier looking pieces to wear with a suit to work, now that I can (kind of) afford to be an adult. Picked this watch up as an inexpensive Christmas gift for myself, figured it would be reliable as it seems to be using Seiko internals.

Would love to hear your thoughts, as I'd never heard of this brand, but thought it looked pretty classy and fit my tastes. And only $120 after some hunting!

Thanks much. Still waiting to receive it, I ordered right over the holiday's, so I'm assuming that's the holdup in getting it to my anxious self. I've never seen a calendar on the bezel/surround like that either, and I'm really interested as to how it's supposed to work. I'm assuming that part is not mechanical in any way, but I'm fairly inexperienced when it comes to watches yet, so we'll see what I'm dealing with soon!

I went to a online store that sells J Springs watches. The outer dial (or inner bezel) does in fact rotate according to them! One presumes it is controlled by that secondary crown. I'm anxious to hear about it after it arrives.

Finally on my wrist!

Finally got the watch after it got backordered, but loving it now that I've got it. The outer date dial (inner bezel) doesn't seem to have any automated motion, but yeah, it is controlled by that secondary crown... it is kind of nice though, apart from how much I like it aesthetically. I can set it once a month, and boom, I've got an accurate date/day match to last me.

Love the quality of it too, the dial face has an extremely extremely subtle brushed metal texture which makes it look really very classy. Definitely impressed with the brand, and since it seems to be a subsidiary of Seiko, I look forward to it lasting quite a while.

This is a beautiful watch. If you don't mind me asking where did you purchase it from? The forum sponsor, Discount watch shop does not have this particular model.

Try searching by model number.

Best bet may be to search around a bit for anybody looking for one. The brand doesn't seem to have a whole lot of availability I guess and is out of stock where I purchased, as they only had one. Model number was BEA013.
