Dell Deaton's your man on 007 watches Mr 007.

The PO on a bracelet is a definite by all counts. If you do a search of the forum, you'll find all previous discussions on the QoS watch(es).

Definately wearing a PO, still a lot of confusion over whether it's the 42 or the 45.5. (I'm hoping the later as I have one on order!!)

Quantum of Solace watch

Hola guys,

Does anyone have confirmation of which Omega Bond will be wearing in "Quantum of Solace?" I just saw a candid photo on the set, and looks like he is wearing a PO with steel bracelete. Any info or photos on this subject?

Here is the link to the photo I found on Google Photos:

Hola 007!

Great new image; thanks for Posting it. Nice view of the bracelet, altho it almost seems as if by design that we can't see the case and dial, eh? :cursing: But I guess everyone isn't as obsessed w/ what Daniel Craig will be wearing for a time piece in Quantum of Solace as they should be!

When Casino Royale was being filmed, I spent a lot of time working to make an early identification of the James Bond watch. If you look at my blog from that period, it will give you a sense of what that meant, and timing. To make a long story short, I wouldn't rely on much of anything at this point, including early updates to the official Omega SA site (because, as you'll see from my contemporaneous research, a DeVille was at one time listed there as a 007 piece). It's also unfortunate to see in their official publication titled, Our Time with James Bond 007: Omega, that the 2531.80 is shown under the section describing Bond's GoldenEye watch.

Personally, as said above in this Thread, I think the Planet Ocean is a better choice for the Craig-Bond, and that we'll see it in Quantum of Solace. From a business perspective, going w/ the smaller size, on a bracelet, portends better sales for Omega. But you also must know that there is strong argument that what we're seeing of the PO in images are all rehersal photos, w/ Craig wearing his personal watch (I'm skeptical of that, but, again, wanted to share what I'm reading). At this point, there's business little value in perpetuating the blue/blue Seamaster, although there was in Casino Royale, w/ the retirement of the Brosnan 2531.80 and ongoing interest in continued sales in response to that. But I've also read that Bond will get an updated Seamaster model, differing from the blue/blue Casino Royale piece in that it will be black/black.

In my opinion, the real reason to "know early" is in the potential for Limiteds. The Planet Ocean 2907.50.91 was made in a run of 5,007 pieces, and that interested me a great deal more than the 10,007-piece runs of the Seamasters. Additionally, I wanted to get mine from an AD, so that all original paperwork would be in my name. Hence, knowing early mattered.

Finally: No formal word from EON or Omega on the watch, to give a more succinct answer to your question.

Then you'll definitely want to check out the Thread here titled, "Watches, James Bond Watches" (general interest Forum) and contribute one or more 007-related images there.

Also (assuming Houston has found it in his heart to forgive me for derailing an otherwise perfectly straightforward Thread), take a look at "Son of the 2254.50 - How much change can you take?" in the Omega Discussion Forum. :thumbup1:
