My wife surprised me with an early birthday present today:

I've wanted one of these since I first saw a picture of one a few years ago....what a cool, classic look!

Another view:

A shot of the cal. 69 movement:

Looks clean and runs. However, when I put the watch on my timegrapher, it's clear she needs some TLC...the amplitude is weak and the beat error is bad:

SO, as much as I want to wear this one, it's off to my watchmaker for service.....thanks for letting me share my newest pickup with the group!

Watch is back from it's service. My watchmaker apologized that he couldn't get the watch to wind past 1/2 with the microrotor winder.....and therefore wouldn't charge me his normal amount.

I don't care....check out how it's running now on my timegrapher:

I've come to learn that micro-rotor movements just aren't able to wind as well as full rotor movements.

Visually, it looks the same in a photo-but the new crystal did away with the slight crazing the old one had.

I'm really enjoying seeing this one on my wrist.
