My like for the color blue is really obvious, here is this picture that makes my day, and confirms your post.
It has everything that is awesome in life :w00t:

Can you believe that is Heather Graham at 42ish, great genetics, with big blue eyes.

Take off that gold bracelet and put on this watch on her, and I would have I new desk top on my computer.

Blue rules
Hahahaha... Yes, its the blue EYES that stand out in that picture.... :001_tt1:

And the business practices of the Swiss just keep getting better & better, eh? It's like they're going out of their way to make "Swiss made"" a bad thing. I understand Curtis is caught between his promises to the customer & this *extortion*; but I can't think of a better way to drive off business than get someone committed to something & then hold them up for more money to deliver on your promises (the case makers, not Stolas). I'm sticking w/ Stolas on whatever they go with; I'm in no hurry.

I think Curtis/Stolas is getting shafted big time, if this was Omega or Tag this wouldn't be happening, well they will just be sending their business elsewhere, and just like customers talks about vendors having good or bad service, vendors talk about manufactures having good or bad service, word gets around. Maybe they don't care, I have seen plenty of that in big business in the last few years.

However, business acumen has Karma, so to speak.

Well, I'm out. Shifting my focus to waiting on only the Lum-Tec bronze that is delayed, and looking to pick up a Bremont MBII.

For those keeping the faith, hopefully Curtis gets it sorted and these show up in the early part of the year. I'll be interested to see some wrist pics!

I've been waiting almost a year for my Olivier (ordered Jan 29th, '12) so I'm still on board. Comparitively, this delay is small potatoes. Although, if it drags on too long, I might cancel & order 2 cobalt LumTecs instead of 1.

Got some good news today about the Naviator™ cases. Still working out the details, but still good news!

From the facebook page...not exactly informative, but better updating than you get from Olivier!

This complete lack of information and updates is exactly why I asked for my deposit back. I can be a very understanding guy, but when there is a complete disregard in keeping customers updated for products that were supposed to ship on November 1st, I decided to pull the plug.

It seems like there is a severe lack of customer service etiquette being demonstrated by this company.

Good luck everyone.

The contest is on, what will I get first my Stolas or my Bronze Lumtec?
Both delayed massively.

I feel sorry for Curtis and Stolas because they are a newer company, and they are selling out of their original series now, with not much replacing them in stock.
There model selection and choices right now is very low. I know he has his Tic Toc venture, but still.

My guess...your M53/54. I've got a bronzebat & a CC on pre-order myself; but if there's no info coming in the next month or so from Stolas, it might be a sign that the release date might not be till towards the end of the year. Not sure I'll hang on that long. Too many other offerings calling.

Well, it's been over a month since there was supposedly some news and.....nothing. Matter of fact, it's been right about 4 months since Curtis even posted anything on this forum; nothing on the "other" forum since Dec 5th and that was to respond to a very disgruntled pre-order cust who wanted his money back; nothing on FB since the "news". So, why the silence? This forum is for Stolas to COMMUNICATE to their customers/ potential customers. Starting to think Curtis is pulling a Roland..& if that's the case, I'm as good as gone. I'll wait a week or two to see if there's anything from Stolas---if not, I'll cancel while I still can. For clarity, folks: it's not the delay in getting the watch that bothers me, it's the lack of respect for the customers who have already paid a deposit & are waiting (well. mostly) in good faith. Ball's in your court, Curtis.

Heilong, I hope for your sake Curtis updates folks, at least thru their website if not on the forum. To your point, same reason I moved on. The lack of communication left me with a not so good feeling. I did get my deposit back, although it took over a month and several emails to actually have it happen. Don't think there was anything malicious in that process, but it did leave me with the impression this watch biz is run like a hobby more than a business. I know I'm nit picking, but since this is all one man's opinion, I also didn't care for the tag lines and repeating mantra of "Crafted perfection" that was being assigned to these. Be proud of what you make, no issue there, but lets not get carried away with hyperbole for a micro brand entry level watch :)

Yup I am on the edge finally too, I'll give him until April to deliver, what I consider to be reasonable given the time lag, and I am tired of excuses.
My watch was blue, but Lumtec has come out with models like that now, so yeah, they missed the boat with the delay.
And I have no problem adding another Lumtec to the stable instead of the Stolas.

Yep..."no news is bad news" in this case, don't understand the lack of communication...just a blurb now and then would be appreciated...

Heard he found a couple of Spinnakers laying around...might see if I can put the money towards one of those...maybe :confused1:

In reading the last few posts, it looks like Stolas is their own worst enemy.

I took the first opportunity to get my deposit back, as the lack of communication to that point was absolutely mind boggling, and i knew i had to get out before the opportunity was gone. One cannot help but assume that this brand is in way over their head, as they don even have the common business sense to keep their customers updated.

It also took me multiple attempts to finally get a response and eventually I did get my money back. I must say i grew increasingly more uncomfortable with the lack of response and my messages had to get more aggressive as my frustration grew.

It's a shame that the business is run in such a amateur way, as the products looked to have promise. Whoever mentioned that it's being run like a hobby, hit the nail on the head. I couldn't agree more.

To those who are trying to stick it out, good luck to you I truly hope that they come through.

@WingNut they sold out the same day. Last month Curtis said this
Sorry everyone, haven't been on in a few days. Have been working hard preparing our new location set to open in April. I have also been prepping the Gennaker Red that I will release some time next week.
Looks like he is consumed with moving, but still he has reached a critical point with people patience levels, and my watch collecting needs are being met with other brands, I have 2 Stolas watches that I enjoy already, so giving up this one isn't a big deal. If it is not in transit by April 30, 2013, I cancel. It's what called a kill date for orders.

Well, a fellow watch nut on another forum (WF; if you know where I'm referring to, you can check it out there) posted on 3/5 that he emailed Stolas & that the movements are now delayed. As one can come to expect these days, no posting anywhere to let us know & no ETA. I'm tempted to stay in it just to see how long this is gonna take.
