Hi, after doing much soul searching for my next watch acquisition, I needed to have a watch that I considered durable, waterproof and with a history. I wanted a watch that had a movement designed in house with a good power reserve. I especially wanted a great deal. I stumbled into an AD on line that had exactly what I was looking for, except it was in Rose Gold instead of Stainless. The deal was more than I could say no to and so without further delay, I present my latest acquisition!

Sorry, I do not know how to make these images bigger!

Congratulations on an exquisite watch :thumbup1:. I am curious about there being an online AD for Blancpain - was it a bricks & mortar AD with a website? I thought they weren't allowed to advertise prices online? Although I have to admit to being a bit confused by the different policies of all of the various brands.

I was just asking if the OP found his Blancpain via the website of an AD. I suspect this is what was meant by an 'online AD.' I will open a new thread asking this question a bit more generally, to cast the net a bit wider and see if what the story is out there.

The AD is exclusivetimepieces.com and they are no longer an AD for Blancpain. They parted ways with Blancpain because of some issues on how to run their business. Anyway, it was the last one or two Blancpain watches he had left! I bought their only Fifty Fathoms immediately. They are still a Ulysses Nardin AD and some others. The warranty card is complete with my name and theirs with the purchase date. The packaging is also complete. The watch was in absolute mint condition before I started to touch it!

No, I do not believe you are allowed to post discounted pricing if you are a current AD but you can sell online. You can not advertise price as far as I know. It seems you can advertise using the list price only. I was talking to Topper Jewelers about a Zenith and he would only quote me prices verbally, never by email.
