I'll probably order this one sometime next month. Just need to save up my rice-and-beans money - I'm poor, so this is going to require some saving up. It's a nice tribute to the pre-Daytona Rolex chronos, but the manual-wind movement, clear caseback, and lack of a third subdial at the six o'clock position puts it in acceptable territory in my book. I'll also put it on a black lizardskin band, and that will add to the costs (and time for installation).

Pics will come when the watch comes in and the new band has been installed.

Nice, I've had a couple of Alphas and never had a problem with any of them. They make a triple retrograde seconds auto that's very cool, but has been out of stock for a while.

Yeah, it'd be very dressy-retro that way. ;o) I imagine it'll look like it came straight out of a time machine from 1939 - which is exactly what I'm going for.
