Well I'm happy to share the story with fellow watch fanatics.
The short answer is that I got the piece for approx. 60% of its full retail price...it's a few years old. Not bad for a Panerai.
Private sale.
Then I took it to a Panerai specialist for full cleaning and polishing and brand new OEM Panerai strap, just like original.

I really like the Luminor.
But I saw a Radiomir featured on a blog and started looking for one.
I found the exact model I craved the most- base model, no second hand, sandwich dial, manual wind movement. .... voilà.
