Err..I have been on another watch forum, and there was a lot of
discussion about Omega naturally...& some of the guys called it
an "Ultimate" Planet Ocean...so it's kinda stuck.

I hope this helps?

Regards

I think Ultimate may not be the right word. Surely the ultimate would be the rose gold or even (gulp!) the bejewelled one? I'm not trying to diss the watch, its a beauty, but maybe something like the Great PO or just The Planet Ocean?

Yes my friends...this is my newest piece. Man I love these boards :)
I won't be joining in with congratulating you. That watch is an obvious FAKE :cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing: Check out the bezel on that thing. Not even close to the real thing. Check out the teeth and the lack of the thick gray ring under the numbers. Also the triangle marker in the bezel is incorrect. The round marker is portruding outside the bezel. Looks like the second hand is painted red vs. orange. The HE valve is totally wrong, that is extremely obvious. The HE valve and the crown should look totally different in appearance. The markers have been made very sloppy. I could go on and on.

This would be the real thing

J K's right--that thing is an obvious fake. The HE release valve isn't even close, the numbers on the dial are way off, and the pearl on the bezel is awful. Sorry, paulsen, but whoever sold you this took you good.

Hopefully you can get your money back. Good luck.

well, I'm afraid I have a hard question..

:)

WELCOME to the forum BTW.

I don't own a P.O. and if I'd have seen this one before someone noticed it was not genuine I'm not sure if I would have noticed it was not real.

but my question for you is, the gift came from a relatative, are your family members in the habit of giving $3000+ gifts for you to assume it was real?

if so maybe your family member was "ripped off" and should be told so....

do you have any other watches in your collection? if they were gifts maybe a quick check might be in order. also, I do think the picture of this " replica" should be removed from view. no offense intended of course, since you didn't know it was fake. but pictures, and discussion of fakes or replicas is not what we are all about around here.

what else have you got?
