I wasn't paying 100% attention to this news but here is what I recall hearing. . . Citizen Miyota has two new mechanical automatic movement updates that will be formally introduced at Basel in the spring: the 8245 and the 8247 each with new complications not found on the 8215 or 8205. You have to know that Invicta probably has these babies on order. . .

I've read somewhere, they're working on a higher beat movement with hacking feature... But don't remember where :confused1:

These movements would have to compete with the old ETA movements and the 6R15 and 6R20 from Seiko...

I'd just like to see a hacking feature on a Miyota.

It's not a crucial feature, unless you're doing something like planning a well-coordinated bank heist or a drop behind enemy lines.

I've adjusted to not having that on the 8926, but I like to have my thing-a-ma-jigs and my what-cha-ma-call-its all lined up..

Thanks, Bart, but nothing listed there yet. I have a hunch that they will keep it uder wraps until the spring. Good site to bookmark.
