A couple of years ago Miyota came out with the 9015 which has a bph of 28K and hacks. Has anyone purchased a watch with said caliber? Any knowledge of watches out there with the 9015? Given what ETA did last year an began withholding from the non ETA watchmakers the 9015 might be a good alternative.

I'm sure that was their intention when they brought it out. The 9015 is Miyota's closest competitor to the widely used ETA 2824.

Sorry, I only have one Miyota and it's not a 9015.

re Miyota 9015

Hi i just purchased a Lumtec M61 with the 9015 movement. It is running around 8 to 10 seconds slow a day. I think i may have to do a time regulation. Thats all i can say right now.

Who knows what goes on in the minds of those who design and market watches but it seems to me that the Citizen Miyota 9015 family of movements was developed specifically to enhance the Bulova Mechanical collection. The fact that other watch makers are beginning to use that movement may be purely coincidental or perhaps, they just see a good opportunity.
alton1 did an exceptional piece on the 9015 just over a year ago. Read it here:
